Knoxville's Holidays on Ice returns for its fourth year to Market Square in downtown Knoxville November 28, 2008; through January 4, 2009.  Center City Events, a non-profit organization producing the annual holiday tradition, is pleased to announce Alstom will be the Exclusive Title Sponsor this year.

Alstom is a global leader in the world of power generation and sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally conscious technologies.  The company designs, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art products and systems to the power generation - for gas, coal, wind and hydro power plants - and industrial markets. "Alstom is proud to sponsor Knoxville's Holiday on Ice," said Dale Daniel, director of human resources.  "We are a global company and we believe that involvment in our local communities helps to build the world community.  Alstom is honored to give its support to Center City Events and to the people of our community."

Jill Van Beke, president of Center City Events board of directors, said "Alstom Power is a fantastic title sponsor for Knoxville's Holidays on Ice.  We are fortunate to have a partner who recognizes the value of supporting this signature event that has so quickly become a downtown holiday tradition for families and friends. Its participation in our Skates for Kids program - by sponsoring 100 kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Knoxville - further highlights Alstom's commitment to an engaged, healthy community."
